Why is the idle jetting foul on a Kawasaki MULE?

When this happens the idle jetting is the first to foul and if you have any question try this. The engine will likely run only with the choke pulled because it needs a richer mixture. This is proof that the fuel is insufficient without the choke on.

What should I do if my Kawasaki Idles dies?

If it has been sitting a while the carb is plugged up. You have to pull it completely apart to clean it. Get a bucket of parts cleaner and soak your carb over night. Pull it out and blow compressed air through it. Find out where the air is coming out of and put your finger over that hole. Repeat that a few times (blowing the carb out).

What happens when you touch the throttle on a Kawasaki?

I start it, it idles ok, I can apply throttle and rev the engine just fine for the first couple of minutes, and then, after that, it wants to die if I touch the throttle. It seems to be consistent; whenever the engine is cold, it runs fine for a couple of minutes. After the engine warms up a bit….

Is the warrior Idles fine when trying to accelerate?

The warrior idles fine. I’ve adjusted to air mix screw back and forth. It changes the idol but doesn’t seem to improve things when I try to rev it up. 2.25 turns seems to be the sweet spot, as far as idol. The needle is where zoom put it.

Why does the idle jetting on a UTV foul?

When this happens the idle jetting is the first to foul and if you have any question try this. The engine will likely run only with the choke pulled because it needs a richer mixture. This is proof that the fuel is insufficient without the choke on. Choking the engine restricts air flow thus balancing the air/fuel mixture to allow the motor to run.

How old is an OT Kawasaki 3010 mule?

It will run up a bit and then do nothing as long as the throttle is open. It is about three years old but has low hours (42). I expected to find stale gasoline and gunk in the float bowl, fuel filter, and carbureter bowl. Everything was clean, the float is OK, and the electric fuel pump has good pressure and volume.

Why does my UTV SxS run at idle?

Choking the engine restricts air flow thus balancing the air/fuel mixture to allow the motor to run. To fix this I never remove the carb, but rather use healthy doses of Stabil gas additive to the fuel at about 6 oz per gallon and run that through the engine. That dosage can be reduced as the process proceeds.

Where is the head screw on a Kawasaki MULE?

On the left side (rear) is a flexible rubber cover that attaches to the heat shield covering the carburetor. Fold the rubber upwards on the left side and in the middle along the side of the carburetor is a combo flat head/philips head screw approx. 1″ down. 1/4 turn should have it racing.
