It’s part of vapor from the crankcase. By federal regulation, the vapor from the crankcase is not allowed to dispose into the roadway. It should be reburned. If it’s a thin mist or small buildup in the air intake case, consider it’s normal. However it’s flooded there, it must have some issue with the engine, esp on large V-twin.

Click to expand… glad i did a search on this. went to change my air filter today and bout a double taespoon of oil came pouring out. been noticing an oil smell now and then last few days. just changed air filter at 6800 miles. prob accumualted over the miles? normal you say? should i clean this out at every oil change?
