What kind of tuning does a Triumph Bonneville use?

What’s the fuse number on a Triumph Bonneville?
This will help get your battery up to its best level for the work to come. Connecting a battery tender through the bike’s Powerlet socket. You’ll also want to disable any device that puts a drain on your battery. The instructions from TTP suggest pulling fuse number 9 (shown below), which powers the headlight.

ODB2 cable. This one was purchased from Triumph Twin Power. One of the above links goes to a thread on Triumphrat, where people discuss the fact that there are good cables and there are bad cables. I bought mine from Triumph Twin Power and I’d recommend you do the same. You will need a computer and it’s got to be a Windows computer.
What should the idle be on a triumph?
You can use the idle adjustment knob to increase the idle when the bike is cold and then decrease the idle when the bike is warm. If memory serves, the idle should be 900 rpm. I set the idle higher on the T100w/sidecar for my late wife as the sidecar increases the drag when start from a traffic light or stop sign.

What to do if your Bonneville is idling too low?
Simple (usually philips head) screw adjust…..just not sure if its to the right or left. Some also have an adjuster knob which can simply be turned with your fingers no tools needed. Hopefully Carl or one of the more experienced Bonneville riders will post up soon. Hate to hear about the stalling though. Thats no fun at all.
