Why is my Polaris Ranger 800 HD overheating?
I have a 2012 Ranger 800 HD that has had an overeating issue since I bought it. It would get so hot by the time the fan came on with temps in the 210 + range and when the fan kicked on if would drop to about 190. At times if you stopped with it hot the ranger would not start until the temp cooled down.
What causes a Ford Ranger engine to overheat?
The water pump pushes the water through the entire system. The thermostat opens up once the engine reaches operating temperature and allows coolant in. If any part of this system fails, your Ranger will eventually overheat. Here are the most common symptoms of a vehicle overheating.
Are there any issues with my Diesel Ranger?
Got a ’13 Crew Diesel and experienced the shifting problem but my dealer fixed the problem with a new clutch and I haven’t had any shifting problems since. That’s been 8 to 9 months ago or longer. I have a brand new 2015 model, which is fantastic in every way apart from one.
What is the temp on a Polaris Ranger?
Just picked it up a couple weeks ago. It has a digital temp gauge in the intrument cluster and while running this machine the temp fluctuates from 189 to 209. The fan comes on at 204 and cuts off at 194. I’ve seen the temp go as high as 209 before the fan starts cooling it down after it comes on.

Can a Polaris Ranger be ridden in water?
NOW YOU CANNOT HAVE THE FAN ON ALL THE TIME IF YOU ARE RIDING IN WATER THAT WILL TOUCH THE FAN BLADES. I do not have any issue with this because I never put my machine in water that deep. Just thought I would pass this along. Only another negative is that your fan motor will probably wear out sooner/faster and then again it may last forever.
Why is my spark plug not working on my Polaris?
As you get to higher RPM’s, the problem gets worse as the arcing is causing the spark plug to not fire consistently or enough. It can load up the plug and foul it.
Is there a way to turn off Polaris Ranger?
The polaris dealer told me the negative to turning it on manually is what is you forget to turn it off because i can make it run with the key turned on honestly this is not an issue because common sense when you turn it off is to hit the toggle switch and manually turn it off. Works great and no more high temps.
