What is choke lever?
A carburetor choke lever engages or disengages the choke, subsequentially adjusting the amount of air that is enabled to flow through the intake of the carburetor of a vintage motorcycle engine.
What does choke lever do?
Choke lever basically shuts the choke valve restricting airflow thereby enabling a richer mixture of air & fuel to reach the combustion chamber during cold starts. A choke valve is sometimes installed in the carburetor of internal combustion engines.
Where do you put the choke control cable?
Place the choke control cable under the intake manifold from the front of engine (front pull choke). Insert the cable bowden wire into the choke control (front or reverse pull). Then place choke cable under the cable clamp.
How is the choke connected to the dash?
With really worn cables it might be best to just replace them though. Next, I took things apart inside the car so I could access the back side of the choke. The choke in my car uses a pivot arm with one side connected to the pull handle on the dash and the other side is connected to the cables.
