Is the foreman 500 the same as the Rubicon?
Johnny, Each is as reliable as the other. They both have about the same ground clearance, and they both have the same engine. Yes, being able to switch drive modes is nice and a feature worth considering.
Which is better Honda foreman or Honda Rubicon?
Never had a problem with my electronics (foreman is the same) and its been submerged. Polaris is no compairison…. its about 10mph faster but the rubi of the foreman will out tow it in a second with their extreamly low gearing.
How many automatic tires does a Honda Rubicon have?
However, you never hear from those who have no problems. Honda sells about 8 automatics to every manual shift (of all models). To increase the reliability of any model, keep it as close to stock as possible. (Stock size tires, or maybe an inch or two larger, but no larger than 2″ over stock.
What kind of bike is a Honda Foreman?
I have had 2 Formans ,a 1987 350 full time 4×4 and a 2001 450s and loved both of them . I passed the 350 down to my dad to have a bike to hunt on . He is 73 now and needs the ride to get to his stands .

IRS generally allows higher ground clearance, and a much smoother ride- you find yourself riding faster with less fatigue over rough terrain. A solid rear axle is simper, less body roll in turns, imho power slides better.
Is the Honda Rubicon 500 a good bike?
I plowed snow, pulled wood and trail ride in some very rough places. This bike never complained. However, now I’m in the market for a new 500 machine (I like the 500’s because they seem like they have all the power I need but with a cheaper price, easier on fuel and less prone to over heat.)
Can a Honda Rubicon be used as an ATV?
Im ready to buy a Quad soon, took a ride on the Rubicon at the dealer and was impressed. No trail riding though. Talking to a buddy of mine today who got a new Zuke 500 last year, he said his would do around 60mph. If that is your only criteria then KQ is the way to go. If not, & you dont mind shifting, the Honda IMO.
