2003 vulcan 800b Classic trade for older sporster. Kawasaki, hard core strong engine, hard core engineering. This is a great bike, the chain is like new, sprocket changed out for better longer rides and fuel consumption . Insurance is so cheep, I am with aha and pay $50 a month.

It’s a nice overall package. It handles cross winds, has good low end power with 401 lbs. and the top end is 116 mph. Fuel mileage is 38-47 mpg., DIY maintenance is common sense and comfort is not an issue. I have done multiple long trips doing 450 miles a day with no aches, just sunburn.

Since last review (#4) have made trips to the Black Hills and Bad Lands in SD in 2007; Maine and New Hampshire in 2008. Not too much this year except running around Missouri and Arkansas. Will probably go back to New England next year. I’m less able to afford a new bike than ever so looks like me and my Vulcan for a few more years.
