Why does my GMC Duramax have reduced engine power?
It keeps getting a “reduced engine power” message on the dash, then it doesn’t have any power, its like putting a brick under the gas pedal. I have went to the dealer and they cleared the code so they could try to duplicate the code, which it never came back for them.

What is the MAF sensor on a Duramax?
If you have that programmer chose the setting of return back to stock, don’t load any programming on it and then scan for DTCs. You should find out what code it is throwing first. Could be as simple as an oxygen sensor. I kept getting p0101 which is maf sensor.

Why does my 2500HD go into reduced engine power?
I have a 2008 2500HD that has me stumped. It will go into “reduced engine power” every few minutes. It will even do it at idle. It isn’t throwing any codes. I still suspect something to do with the throttle position sensors because they do not read 0 at idle or 100% at WOT and they don’t perfectly match either.
