Is there a recall on Polaris scrambler ATV?
Huge ATV Recall by Polaris – Sportsman and Scrambler. Polaris is recalling 95,000 ATVs due to defective electronic control modules (ECMs) that may overheat, causing a fire and burn hazard to riders.
Why does my Polaris ATV die after great runs?
One other thing is that whatever ate the diaphragm and the fuel pump and the 3 way valve may of degraded the lines to the point that they gumped up the inlet on the carb. What do you guys think? Thanks I couldn’t really figure out why it dies after great runs.
Can a CARB be rebuilt by a Polaris dealer?
I just had the carb rebuilt by a Polaris dealer. It runs great. Idles perfect, accelerates great, perfect. That is until it dies. It acts like it runs out of gas OR the spark fails. I put a new fuel filter, fuel pump, and nice fresh gas on it. I seen on the polaris site that the spark plug cap can be bought apart from the coil.
Can a Polaris Sportsman run with a choke on?
2000ish Polaris Sportsman 500, 4-stroke. It had been put up for a while ( a few months), it wouldn’t start when i went to get it out. Finally got it started with starter fluid and it’d only idle with the choke on, choke off it’ll run, but pops, doesn’t run well and won’t idle.

What to do if your Polaris bike won’t start?
Just spray a small amount on the coil, then try to start the bike. If it starts, then problem solved. If it doesn’t start, then it means more troubleshooting. Good luck! Check the fuel tank vent hose to see if it is plugged or kinked.
Why is the magneto on my Polaris ATV not working?
A mechanic said it could be the stator getting hot but as I only have 325 hours on it and bought it new I can’t see how the magneto could be bad so soon. The only thing I can think of is that the plug cap might of got jerked on making it lose spark after it gets bumped around awhile. Or that the coil is failing.
