Why does my 360 Prairie cut out at full throttle?
At full throttle it cuts out. If I shut the fuel off and run it out wide open it will run clean as it’s running out of fuel. That tells me it’s rich. If I pull the airbox lid off, it will run clean wide open, although it’s lean in the midrange without the lid. I know it’s running rich on top.
Is there a problem with my Kawasaki Prairie 360?
I have a 09 prairie 360 it’s like brand new I only use it for work around the house and plowing. I drain the carb after every time I ride it, it’s not a carb issue.
What causes a pit bike engine to sputter?
The problem of having an engine “sputter” is typically caused by a fuel system issue. For pit bikes with smaller cc displacement engines, in order for a cylinder to fire efficiently, three separate components must work together; the fuel delivery system (carburetor), the ignition coil and wires and the spark plug.
What did I do to my 360 Prairie 4×4?
The fuel actually turned to sugar in the top of the tank. First, I completely cleaned the tank, replaced the petcock, fuel gauge, and gas cap. I got a carb rebuild kit and completely cleaned the carb, replaced all jets, float needle and the needle with new ones.
What to do if your bike Idles but bogs with throttle?
I will look during tomorrow times. If it idles fine but it bogs down with throttle, your high speed gas jet is probably clogged. Clean your carb and spray carb cleaner in all small passages, make sure air can flow through all ports no matter how small. Put it back together and it should run great.
Why is my Kawasaki 360 Prairie cutting out?
If it is bogging at speed from a rich condition, and not the fuel valve (choke), I suspect someone used a jump starting charger or running automobile and killed the Igniter, or the battery will not pass a load test. It also could be stator or regulator breakdown reducing the current to the Igniter and coil.
Is the warrior Idles fine when trying to accelerate?
The warrior idles fine. I’ve adjusted to air mix screw back and forth. It changes the idol but doesn’t seem to improve things when I try to rev it up. 2.25 turns seems to be the sweet spot, as far as idol. The needle is where zoom put it.
Why does my Raptor idle when trying to accelerate?
Sounds like the accelerator pump isn’t working, or pilot is partially plugged, or air mixture is too lean. May be a combo of several of those things. When my sons Raptor was doing that, it was because the pilot was too small, then had to tweak the air mixture to get it just right.
What to do if your bike Idles when trying to accelerate?
Clean the carb, run some sea foam through it,if that doesn’t work, try your timing.if all else fails it could be a sticky valve and or a bent valve ( I ran a bike on a bent valve for 2 months before it blew) How do you check the valves. I’m not a mechanic but I can do the small stuff. Lol I have a 89 warrior. I put it in the shed during deer season.
What to do about Kawasaki Prairie 360 Rev problem?
The dealer said it might some kind of a sensor for the belt. Any ideas have you checked the switch in the cover to see if it actually works , the one with the 2 wire plug it is a normally closed switch so all you need to do is unplug it at the connector, and use a 0hm meter to see if you have continuity (resistance) between the 2 wires.
What happens if I rev up to 1 / 4 throttle?
It would idle fine but if you gas’d it much more than 1/4 throttle suddenly it would fall on its face or just riding…around 10-15 mph it would just run out of power and bog down.
Is the 360 Prairie 4×4 worth a look?
They’ll usually run ok down low and idle fine but the faster the engine runs and the more fuel that flows through the main jet, the richer it gets if that air bleed is restricted. Worth a look…I’ve run into this before on a 360. As I said, seems you’re pretty good with carbs and you’ve probably got it covered, but it’s still a suggestion.

How is the CARB on a Kawasaki 360 Prairie?
BTW, the temps here are 30 to 40 degrees. That should lean it out some vs. hotter temps, yet it still seems rich on top. The float level in the carb appears to be OK, or at least not too high. Everything is in new condition on this bike. Sorry for such a long post. I wanted to get out all details. Any suggestions??
When did the Kawasaki 360 Prairie 4×4 come out?
This 360 4×4 has me stumped. The history of it: I picked it up from a relative who bought it new in ’03 and ran about two tanks of gas through it, if that. It’s sat in a heated, air-conditioned building with fuel in it since ’03. I bought it from him.
