Where is the ignition switch on a Polaris Ranger?

To test just take a small length of wire, expose each end and put it into each side of the connector bypassing the switch and allowing it to start. I just checked and yours does have that switch. It could be on the farm behind the drivers rear wheel or next to the master cylinder behind that panel.

Why is the spark plug on my Ranger not working?

Spark plug was damp with fuel when I removed it so I know its getting fuel. I guess its gonna make a trip to the dealer. at least try a new plug before you pay a dealer to change it for you. I may be wrong, but if the plug is wet with fuel, it seems like the spark is too weak to ignite it.
