Why does my GMC blower motor keep running?

While driving today blower motor Kicked out, I turned up the fan speed and it kicked back in. Got to my destination, turned off the key and the blower kept running. Took my climate controls out and the fan continued to work, ended up pulling the 40amp fuse in the engine bay to shut it off so I don’t kill my battery.

Head under the hood and check the blower motor wiring to make sure it is getting power to it. If it is, then your only option is to remove the blower motor and have it tested or replaced. I was told to go buy a blower motor resister, come to find out they no longer sell the resister for the 2005 Chevy Avalanche. It has to be converted to a blower motor control module these days.

Where is the relay on a blower motor?

That relay should be in the under hood fuse/relay box (under hood, left side, behind battery). Starting with the high speed relay, pull it out and see if the fan turns off. Replace the one that causes the fan to go off when removed. I have attached images to help you.
