Is there a problem with the Yamaha 1100 starter?
Bottom line Yamaha has a problem with their 1100 starter and starter clutches. Based on my search of the web it appears that Yamaha knows about the problem and will not step up to the plate and fix it. Last Yamaha for me. I have the same bike 2003 V-Star 1100 Custom, and it is doing exactly what caiken above was describing.
