Are there any problems with the Victory motorcycle?
Victory motorcycles are supposed to be trouble free. Although this bike has delivered “miles of smiles” it has been far from trouble free. The clutch was identified as a problem soon after I purchased the bike and was documented after only 3 months and 5,000 miles of ownership.
Why did I buy a victory cross country bike?
I picked the Cross Country, not because it is a beautiful bike, but because it had what I was looking for… good power, lots of storage, great handling (for a tour bike), high gas mileage, and the creature comforts to make a 500 mile day easy (after some modifications). It has delivered on all these counts.
Why does the Victory Belt make so much noise?
The guys at the Gainesville dealer agreed there was a problem and that the belt noise was not normal. They spent hours and hours trying to adjust the noise out of it. As the story goes, they couldn’t convince Victory to replace the pulleys and just kept adjusting hoping it would go away. I got tired of wasting my time and theirs’.
What are the problems with a BMW victory?
– According to BMW & Victory of Orange Park the clutch is gone. Per the service manager the mode of failure does not indicate abuse. Original symptoms were clutch chatter, surge, or “high spots” and later clutch drag in 1st gear. Now it has developed into hard shifting, sticking in gear, and the clutch not fully disengaging.

Yes, Kevin’s shop. They are supposed to be one of the best Victory dealers for everything Victory in the southeast. I have visited Kevin and his crew several times and they did a good job with everything on the “fixed list”. I thank them for the quality service they provided on those issues.
When did I buy a new Victory Cross Country?
Because of the amount of money involved this was a slow and deliberate process. In August of 2011 I purchased a new Cross Country from Polaris of Gainesville.
