What should I do if my L200 loses power?
Pulls smoother when cold. Another fuel filter made no difference. Nor did adjusting turbo (as per instructions here), cleaning injector pump loom connections, bypassing egr and cooler, cable ties to the overboost sensor pipe and replacing loose jubilees on the fuel lines. Diagnostic codes are 43, 49 and 51 on a snapon system.
Why does my L200 have no EML?
A month or so I pulled away and it was hesitant as it pulled through the (usable) rev range. Instead of smoothly accelerating it went up ‘in notches’ and there was no black smoke at all (a usual symptom under acceleration). EML began coming on more often, and the hesitation worsened.
What is the timing control valve reading on my L200?
The timing control valve reading came at 6.8 which is clearly too low. I hope I had the plug in the correct orientation. With the retaining clip at 12 o’clock there was no reading between 5 and 9. At 6 o’clock it read 6.8. Have I stumbled upon the faulty part (with considerable assistance!)?
