Is the capacitor on my GMC Acadia still working?
All capacitors were intact and no scorch marks or anything anywhere on the board. I suspect either the crystal oscillator (due to ageing) – seen next to the IC in the second last pic just below the JTAG port, or one of the many IC’s (heat) simply bit it.
How long does it take to replace an Acadia amplifier?
Went shopping first and bought a 3″, 5″ and 8″ flexible 1/4 drive extensions and two 1/4 swivel drive. I replaced my 2007 Acadia Amp in about three hours with one trip to Sears to purchase an 1/4 drive air ratchet. ($58.00) Took the advice on prying the impossible bolt out of the clip so saved some time and frustration.
