My Mitsubishi Express 2.4 van is the one with the engine accessed under the passenger seat. That’s pretty much it. Unlike a Ford Territory where you have 56 fuses and numerous relays mounted on several fuseboxes which are not only in the engine bay but squirelled away up behind the govebox, these have 1 shared fusebox.

Cost them $1,000’s to replace a timing belt that was perfectly fine then had it fitted incorrectly so the van never ran properly after that. Initial problem was a slipping fan belt. A simple adjustment would’ve been free. May not be a fault. e10 and gas will trip it “on”. Run tank dry/low then top up with ’98. Light ought to gradually fade.

Second culprit is plug gap. Set them @ hacksaw blade width. A 1mm gap @ the plug is same electrical resistance as 1cm atmospheric (outside the engine). 10:1 compression ya see. These two variables are related. The larger the plug gap, the more likely the incidence of lead breakdown.
