What kind of thermostat do I need for my LS3 water pump?
If anyone out there has advice and experience on thermostats for LS3’s, I can use some help. I have an Edelbrock water pump that when installed stated I needed a GM#12600172 thermostat. This thermostat (185 degree), comes as a 2-piece unit meaning it’s the thermostat and the housing.

How can you tell if your car thermostat is stuck?
To quickly tell if your thermostat is stuck, watch the flow of coolant through your radiator. For a more accurate test, measure the temperatures of the engine and the hose leading to the radiators to see if they’re similar.
