Why is the boot not opening on my SL55 AMG?
2003 SL55 AMG. Came to the car on Sunday to find the boot wouldn’t open – not on the remote, not on the electrical release button on the driver’s door, and not on the key. It’s had a new boot battery recently and all electrical consumers are *online*, so it’s not a lack of charge for the mechanism, etc.
How can I open the boot on my SL350?
put the key in boot lock and turn quarter turn clockwise and tha pull the lever with the key in place it should open. hi, thanks for reply, and yeah have tried that and nothing happening

If still no joy, then you may have to drill holes in your trunk lid as this guy did: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r230-sl-class/1437629-cant-get-into-boot.html#post3422366. the hand latch is connected to the real latch mechanism by a metal connecting rod.

What to do if your SL350 trunk won’t open?
If so the locking pump must be good, operate the top and stop in mid operation this will allow access to the trunk, have a look for air leaks in the line to the trunk lock. @#$%$##@$% $$@ PUT THE LUGGAGE COVER BACK TO THE CLOSED POSITION BEFORE CLOSING THE HOOD OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE THE ROOF !!!!!!
