My 2003 SL AMG 55, PSE pump recently stopped working (again) . On removal before rushing to the dealer who will extract £700 + from you, Check the impeller on the motor. This is the second PSe pump I have had installed .
How do you repair a PSE in a Mercedes?
The two halfs of the PSe will separate with a bit of work. Lift off the top, lift out the pcb / solanoid board and the pump attached. The motor has a pump attached to the front of it, ( 2 tubes from the pump). Remove the six bolts holding the pump to the motor. Detatch the pump and check the impellor within.
Where is the PSE pump on a Mercedes?

Mercedes do not supply new impellors, The R230 PSE pump uses the same motor as other mercedes. You can get an cheep PSE on e-bay for £15.. Strip the pump and install the impellor . Reassemble in reverse order. Also I found that my motor was stuck, if after removal of the impellor check the motor is freely rotating before re-assembly.
