What kind of problems does my sprinter have?
I have a 2006 Sprinter that has had all sorts of starting problems; will start sometimes then not at all; won’t get any lights on or anything when turning key. Then after 4-5 tries it will work. Also had trouble duplicating problem at dealer.
Why does my 2002 sprinter not start after second start?
After the second start error, it takes about 4 hours for my 2002 Sprinter to reset itself before I can even try again to start it. I thought maybe the anti-theft system wasn’t reading the chip in the ignition key because its battery was low, but a Sprinter tech told me there is no battery in the key.
Why does my MISC sprinter not turn on?
Occasionally, very hot air comes out of A/C vents, even though I did not change the temperature (from cold) of the A/C. A/C LED will go off at this time. Fixes itself in a few minutes. Doesn’t happen very often but does happen. Power locks do not work. All fuses are good. Will not work via the dash button or the key fob.
Why does my van not start in the morning?
Starts in the morning fairly consistantly. After even a brief drive and turn off, the van won’t start when we get back in to leave for the next stop. As soon as we turn the key to wait for the glow plug light to go out, the fan starts up and the glow plug light won’t go out.

When did my Dodge Sprinter lose its power?
Now I left for vacation June 29, 2008 and have a loss of power again, can’t go over 55mph, which is good for saving diesal fuel but not for wanting to get to my vacation place. This sprinter has only 17,000 miles on it. Up date on my van, after sitting for appox. two days, started up and ran fine.
What should fuel pressure be to start sprinter?
You must have at least 2500 PSI to start. 3. If no or low fuel pressure the nasty little culpret may be a 25 cent o-ring. The fuel pressure regulator is located at the rear of the fuel rail on 2002 to 2004 trucks. Its held in with two little torx head screws and can be a mother to get out. It’s not terrible you just have to work by feel mostly.
