Why does my GMC Yukon XL traction control not work?
It seems that the general consensus is that the speed sensors on the front wheels are corroded and that this gives the computer a faulty signal about the actual speed of each wheel, thereby engaging the traction control. The solution is to clean the sensors.
When does traction active go on in Yukon Denali?
I have a 2005 Yukon Denali 75,000 miles and this same problem started about five months ago. The Traction Active goes on during acceleration between 20-30 mph about 5% of the time when starting from a complete stop, seems to happen more frequently in warm (80+F) weather. SUV looses power just as RichardA wrote.
When does traction control come on for no reason?
After taking care of that, the ABS warning light and the Traction Control warning came on at the same time. When driving, the traction control comes on and will not allow more than 10-15 MPH. When braking, the antilock kicks in with pulsating braking.
Why does my Yukon Denali lose all power?
My 2003 Yukon Denali with 60,000 miles is acting funny. When starting from a dead stop, it sometimes loses all power and the message “TRACTION ACTIVE” shows up on the instrument panel where the odometer and other data are usually displayed. The dealer is baffled.

When does traction control come on what speed?
When driving, the traction control comes on and will not allow more than 10-15 MPH. When braking, the antilock kicks in with pulsating braking. So braking is a problem, as is driving. Traction control button will allow greater speeds than 15-20mph, but not much.
