Why does my 2004 DT466 engine not start?
I have a 2004 4300 international dt466 it cranks but no start. I have changed all sensors still nothing check fuel pressure injector orings im stuck. Engine position sensor shows up when u put computer on it. Where should I check for a broken wire maybe? Plug to sensor has power and sensor is good.

If theres any air in it at all, it wont start. . The daytime running lights (DRL) and low beam headlights are inoperable. The highbeam headlights, markers and all other lights function properly. I have checked the fusebox in the engine compartment and above the glovebox and am unable to locate either a DRL/headlight, fuse or relay.

(1) August 2015 truck was towed back to our place. One of the guys here said that he drained water out of the fuel and the truck started, but then it didn’t start next day so we called local mechanic and he checked electrical connectors and found that fuse in battery box was not making connection and shorted.

Why is the ECM not working on my DT466 MHH?
If not then ECM not powering up. I have saw a few times with the fuse box located out on the driver side above the steer tire give fits. The fuse holder will get loose and not make good connection. In that fuse box on the fender. Check the IDM relay. There should be battery power on 2 of the terminals. Those are the clean power wires.

I have a 2003 International 4300 with a DT466. I just had all the O-rings on the injectors replaced along with the wiring harness that goes to the injectors. Now once the truck gets up to running temp it starts to sputter/miss. Truck runs GREAT cold but once warm gets worse.

The only difference betwene the two is how light your pocket will be. If its not the issue youre only out 25 or 30 bucks. Had mine go a couple times they usualy give up the ghost every 50,000 to 100,000 as long as you dont run too hot and driving conditions.

You probably have a leak on your high pressure oil rail. More than likely, needs a new o-ring set. The 466 uses oil to hydraulicly actuate your injectors. If it cranks don’t rev it unless you have a gauge to handle about 3000psi. Off hand should take close to 600psi to start. also you can pull the valve cover and apply shop air pressure into the rail and look for air bypassing the injectors.

Looks like you need a set of injector 0-rings. those codes refer to loss of injection pressure. The long rail on the side of the head is the High pressure rail for the injectors. If you have a gauge that goes up to 1000psi or better you can tap into the pressure sensor port and check cranking pressure.

What’s the fuel pressure on an international dt466e?
Pressure while cranking is around 890 psi. With the pump dead headed to a gauge it is 4000 psi. I have changed the icp sensor and the ipr valve. fuel pressure is around 60 psi while cranking with the needle on the gauge bouncing. Also have installed new fuel pressure regulator. I would have to by a computer to swap.
