Can a cel engine need a timing chain replacement?
A new engine won’t happen ie if you got a CEL requiring timing chain replacement than that is what the dealership will do. However given the (high) number of timing chain replacements you can rest easy knowing the dealership has had lots of experience doing such a job :.

What should timing be for worn cam chain?
