What does convenience functions temporarily disable to protect battery do?
It just doesnt tell you it is doing it. My 2005 E350’s battery failed last year and was replaced by MB. Shortly after an intermittend problem started where the “Convenience functions temporarily disable to protect battery” warning comes up. All convenience functions are then disabled.

Believes that the system is designed that way to ensure adequate voltage for safety critical equipment such as braking system. Will obviously monitor. Cars are too clever by half. If you like you can ask the dealer to flash programme the battery control module with the latest software.

How does the auxiliary battery control module work?
The battery control module monitors system voltage. If voltage reaches a low point, the auxiliary battery relay closes to connect the battery to the vehicle fuse blocks. Remember that your car may have been serviced before and had parts replaced with different size fasteners used in the replacement.
