Is the Chevy Duramax DEF system mandated by the EPA?
I understand DEF is a EPA mandated system, but that does not let Chevy engineers of the hook for making a DEF system that has made the Duramax totally UNRELIABLE! Do you have to trust the DIC on a Duramax?
Have to trust the DIC, but every few thousand miles or before a long haul I just top up my tank. OK, thanks. Since my tank was obviously empty due to the added drain plug that is leaking shouldn’t this system have set a DTC and had the check engine light on? Or atleast the message should have shown up before today?
