Why does my CLK 270CDI not start at all?
The car unlocks from the remote, put the key in the ignition and everything lights up, headlights work, stereo works but when I turn the key to start the car I get a big fat zero. Not even a sound that the car is trying to start. I am at my wits end now and feel like taking a sledgehammer to the thing.

What’s the problem with my Mercedes C270 CDI?
I’ve just had exactly the same problem on my CLK….error was “speed sensor”. Took it to a local merc indy and he had a good look at it and came to the conclusion that there was, most likely, a problem with the electrical plate holding the speed sensors.
