Is the starter on my Vito van working?
Starter Works Fine And When The Van Was Running It Was Running Fine .it Started To Take A While To Start And This Just Got Worse Over A Few Days Till It Would Not Start At All.
Why does my Vito W639 engine not start?
Pulled the key out put it back in and it started. Over the next couple of days used it a few times no problems. The mechanic had not reset the assyst service system so took it back. Came home no problems. next day went to start all lights, locks etc worked but would not start.
Where can I get a new EIS for my Mercedes Vito?
I rang Mercedes parts department in Milton Keynes (Very helpful) and was told a new EIS is 350 sterling. You’ll need a green/orange programming key from mercedes which looks like a slimmed down version of your key but i think its just a usb.
What should fuel rail pressure be in Vito?
Really you need it plugging into STAR to see the Live data of the fuel rail pressure, it needs to be 225+psi to start up! Also this would show if it was camshaft/crankshaft syncronization fault.

Can a Mercedes-Benz Vito CDI 110 start?
There is no way of priming the van and it is not self priming, as long as the diesel filter is full of fuel the van will start. Is the EDC light on ?. Is the battery good ?. Have you read the codes with a scanner? if so what are they. 1 x 190e, 2 x vito cdi 110 many spares…. still the vito wont start…..
What to do with a Mercedes Vito camshaft?
Try using easy start to start it one morning give it a spray and then turn it over. if it goes then it could be as simple as the fuel line seals but could also be the fuel pumps. What are the relays on a Mercedes Benz Vito?
CDI, oil sensor, fuel temp sensor,CMP sensor, water temp sensor,rail pressure sensor,Crank position sensor,4 injectors, high pressure pump shut off valve, rail pressure control valve, fuel shut off valve. The only other relays are to do with lights ect ect More Fuel Problems…
Is there a problem with my Vito long?
Vito Intermittent Starting Problem ! I have a 2004 111CDi Vito Long with 76K miles and have been experiencing intermittent starting problems for about a month. In the morning it starts first time and I can invariably stop and start several times during the day without the problem.

In all cases, the engine turns over without a problem so I don’t think it’s the starter motor. Invariably, if I wait from between 5 to 10 minutes (without attempting to start the vehicle) the vehicle will start first time but today it took half an hour (and many attempts) to get it started.
