If you open your door and the radio stays on, just tap on the latch and see if the radio turns off. You might want to try spraying some WD40 in the latch, it might keep the switch from sticking. My ’18 Collie W/T extended cab does the same thing with the passenger door. The radio will turn on randomly when I open the passenger door even without the key in the ignition. The only way to turn off the radio is to open and close the driver door or stick the key in and cycle on-off.
What to do if your Mercedes Benz Radio is not working?
For you to do that, you will need to remove the fuses for the CD Changer, COMAND/ NAV / DVD Player / Radio, Audio Gateway AGW, and the Voice Unit if it is equipped with one, for at least 10 minutes. Doing a soft reset for these systems will force the head unit to rest. This normally restores the systems to working order.
