Right away I noticed a STRANGE Whining noise coming from the engine or transmission. I brought the car in and was told by the service manager that this was normal. So I have lived with the noise until today.

It’s a 1997 C280. thanks! Sounds like the shocks need replaced, check to see if they are leaking first. If its not that then it may be the rubber spacer worn where the spring fits into the well. B Upper control arm with ball joint has seen too many potholes.
