What kind of steering wheel does 2005 Silverado have?

Why does power steering turn one way but hard to turn the other way?
Power steering turns one way but hard to turn the other way. Gearbox or power steering pump problem? Can easily change both but need to be certain. I think its the gear box.
How can I Turn my steering wheel to the left?
Turn the wheel all the way to the left and hold it there tightly. Then loosen the hose line and and turn the wheel all the way to the right to bleed it out with hope that air comes out. Hold the wheel tight to the right while you tighten the hose back down. Have some fluid handy to refill the resivor.
What to do if your steering wheel is disconnected?
Tie your steering wheel down so it can’t move very much while the shaft is disconnected. A couple of bungees or tie downs around the spokes and the brake pedal should do it. You will want it to go back on exactly in the same rotation position that it was in when it was disconnected.
