Is the Mazda 6 diesel a ticking time bomb?
The 2.2L diesel in the series 1 GJ 6 & KE Cx-5 are more or less ticking time bombs.. almost every single Diesel engine and turbo we’ve replaced has been at or close to 120,000km. I literally ordered an engine today for a cx5. M oster are you willing to divulge anymore on this? In private? Mostert55 writes…
Why did my Mazda 6 diesel break down?
Oil level rises between services. Some is expected because of the DPF. – 32 000km car breaks down – oil warning light. Issue is very likely related to rising oil level. Car is towed to Mazda with no fault found – Oil level continues to rise so I do my own oil change at 37 000.
Why does Mazda think its a DPF problem?
Mazda has a problem it seems but will not admit it. A new engine is about £8000. – The engine oil is rising fairly quickly on mine and I will get an oil change soon (at 3500 since the first service). – Have they said why the car thinks its a DPF problem?
How long has it been since my Mazda 6 blew up?
1. Picked up the Car after 11 weeks and 4 days. This was after the engine blew up. The car has had a new engine, new catalaytic converter, new clutch (although only 2 years old and 14,000 on the clock) new engine thermostat after the new one was found to be faulty and other bits and pieces. (approx £9k that they want off me!!) 2.
Is the ND transmission the same as the Mazda 3?
That being said the ND transmission is not the same as the Mazda 3 transmission so its comparing apples and oranges. Don’t know what you mean by a “kick” but I find it almost impossible to get a smooth gear change between 1st and 2nd on my manual mazda 3.
Why is my Duramax diesel engine not working?
The trucks computer keeps track of how much fuel needs to be added or subtracted from each individual cylinder to make the engine run smoothly, and this value is called the balance rate. If one cylinder is contributing too much or not as much as the rest, the cause is usually a bad injector and the cure is a replacement.
Why does my car slow down when I push the gas?
It is in those situations that drivers will come to notice the obvious slow acceleration and the fact that the engine of their vehicle is struggling to keep up. This is a common problem in high mileage vehicles but there are no serious or immediate concerns regarding major engine problems.
What makes a Duramax LB7 diesel so special?
The introduction of common rail injection powered by the Bosch CP3 injection pump made the LB7 Duramax stand apart from other diesels of the day with excellent power and efficiency.
