Why does my Mazda 626 idle so rough?
The problem began about a month and a half ago when it started getting colder, I live in the East coast. In the mornings, when I initially turn on the car to warm it up, it doesn’t feel as bad. Once the car is warmed up though it begins to idle and feel very rough.

Why is my Mazda MX6 2.5L V6 not working?
EGR Valve issues. This is a well known problem on the MX6’s, especially with the 2.5L v6 engine. You can sometimes remove the EGR and clean it to avoid replacing it. The replacement of it is kind of pricy. Other issues could be with bad injectors. I’m sure you are seeing and engine light code when this is happening.

What to look for in a Mazda 626?
Check the PCV hose and lines also. In addition, check the large air intake hose from the Air Flow Meter to the intake manifold for cracks and leaks. They often crack in the valleys and are hard to spot. Another good possibility is the EGR valve is stuck open or the EGR control is allowing vacuum to get to the EGR valve.
