What kind of engine does Mazda 323 SP20 have?
I recently purchased a 2002 Mazda 323 SP20, with an auto transmission. It has a 2.0l 4 cylinder engine and has travelled 100,000kms, with a regular service history. Done the major service yet? What fuel?

When to sell a 2001 Mazda 323 SP20?

(Under 1,000kms) – 169,000 kms on the odometer – Rego till August 2021 – Lady Owner and Driven – Cleaned and maintained regularly -Non-smoker driver – Mechanical Good and doesn’t consume too much petrol (Used 95 only) Not running needs fuel pump.

Sounds like that is exactly the problem. If the distributor cap cracks, it can allow either moisture to get in or sparks to come out. Both cause problems. If moisture gets in, it will cause the car to be difficult to start until the cap dries. If spark gets out, it will cause the engine to sputter.
Do you need to replace gearbox fluid on Mazda 323?
The 323 need the fluids replaced also. 2L gearbox + 1L LSD fluid. Much easier. Undo lower bolt, pour away. Redo lower bolt. Undo front bolt, refill. Redo front bolt. What’s the fuel economy on a Mazda 323?
I was expecting fuel economy of around 8l per 100km but was surprised to find that I got fuel economy of 10.6l per 100km. The car travelled 400km’s more than half of which was on highways/freeways, rarely stopping. The car was also driven gently most of the time. The car runs fine with no apparent issues, and idles smoothly.
