Why does the battery light still come on after changing the alternator?
Will the battery light still come on if the battery (factory original by the way) is starting to go bad…maybe the bad alternator (if it was bad) weakened it? Or does the battery light need to be reset after changing out the alternator? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When do I need to change my alternator?
If you do not change it soon, you WILL need to change it before winter… Save yourself money, change it now, if you still have enough pocket change to do it. It is quite possible you wore out your old alternator. This new one might also be getting old, so it is best not to stress it.. I agree.
Is the ground fine going to the alternator?
Yes the ground is fine going to the alternator, both battery terminals are cleaned on both ends. At the connector level at the alternator no residue, plug looked fine. On very first event 3 weeks ago, the very first sign of battery being lit up at higway speed, I had both battery terminals with green deposit.
