Why is my immobiliser not working with a flat battery?
It has been suggested to me that the flat battery has allowed the immobiliser to forget the keys and, even though it allows the doors to unlock and re-lock and turn the ignition on it will not allow it to crank over the engine.

Thanks for this advise Scudney, they are self levelling, and fully charged after a 24 hour charge the battery still only showed 12.5 volts. The second and most important issue is that the immobiliser is now active and refusing to let the car turn over.

From outside the vehicle, press the fob lock button at least 4 times until the car locks. Then unlock and you should be good to go. Edit: do both fobs. Thats got me stumped then. Can only suggest checking the fuses in the main and secondary fuse boxes – those for the ECU/PCM, and alarm system.

Ok if u can crank, the engine isn’t immobilise, continuously pressing the fobs buttons can deplete a fob battery very quickly, anyway start by installing a new battery in the fob and charging the battery till its fully charged that will eliminate those items from your issue.
