So, to power up the cell phones, the walkmans and the portable laptops, the cyclindrical 12V power connector was introduced, and it just happens to be the same shape and connector that used to fit in a cigarette lighter. Perhaps auto makers and other should agree on a connector for devices that will be electronic devices.
