Where can I find a factory AMP bypass?
Start by locating your radio harness in the dash cavity where the radio you removed was. The harnesses you unplugged from your stereo could have all of the wires youll need. Try to find wires at the stereo harness that match the wires at the amplifier.

I replaced my 2007 Acadia Amp in about three hours with one trip to Sears to purchase an 1/4 drive air ratchet. ($58.00) Took the advice on prying the impossible bolt out of the clip so saved some time and frustration.
Is the capacitor on my GMC Acadia still working?
All capacitors were intact and no scorch marks or anything anywhere on the board. I suspect either the crystal oscillator (due to ageing) – seen next to the IC in the second last pic just below the JTAG port, or one of the many IC’s (heat) simply bit it.

There is a lot of thermal paste on three of the IC’s which are pushed firmly against the metal casing which is acting as a heatsink.

How big is a magical Elves GMC Acadia?
Easier said than done: Now, I’m not sure what size magical elves GM has working for them, but there is no way a 6′ -200lb guy can get at the screws (which are also about 3/4 ” too long for what they do). I even took apart most of the drivers side IP/dash including the gauge cluster trying to find another way in. No such luck. :thumbdown:
