How do I start my car with a dead Mazda key fob?
Follow these steps:
- Hold dead key fob near push-start button, within a 1-2 inches.
- Depress and hold brake pedal until vehicle starts.
- Wait for push-start button to flash green.
- Touch the back side of the key fob to the push start button (see Diagram)
- Confirm push-start button light is now solid green (no flashing)
Are there any problems with the Mazda 3 fobs?
I got the spare key out but had the same problems with that. Went to the shop & bought some new batteries for both fobs thinking this would solve the problem but it hasn’t made a difference. Both fobs are even being temperamental even locking & unlocking the car manually with the buttons, sometimes have to resort to using the key.
