What does check engine, VSC and Trac off mean?

My 2002 Lexus is displaying the check engine light, VSC and TRAC OFF. This is a previously owned vehicle and did not come with an owner’s manual and I can’t seem to gain access to an owner’s manual on the internet. Please help with any ideas…I have no clue what this means.

Why is my VSC light on on my Lexus RX 300?

Can a new gas cap turn off the Check Engine light?

Searching the internet will turn up tons of results saying that a new gas cap will turn your check engine light off. The reality is, it won’t do a thing if your check engine light is on because you need a new O2 sensor (or any other problem).
