Why does my Yukon Denali blow air out of the vents?
With or without a/c. Air conditioning is on but the air coming out of the vents is heated air. It does the opposite sometimes as well. I will have the heat on and the air coming out of the vents is cooled air. 2003 GMC Yukon Denali XL started blowing air out of defrost after a battery change. Hopefully its just a bad mode actuator.

Why does my car air vent blow cold on one side?
This situation can be caused by a bad blend door (also called air mix) actuator, a broken or binding blend/air mix door, broken linkage to the blend/air mix door, or a faulty HVAC control head or wiring harness. Car makers used to rely on cables to change the position of the blend door to regulate the amount of heat.
