Can a bad battery cause AC problems?
A weak car battery can cause your auto air conditioner to function poorly or not at all. Car batteries need to have enough voltage to trigger the AC compressor, and while it may be strong enough to run the rest of your car, it may still be too weak to run your car’s air conditioning.
Does the AC use battery?
No, in an ICE car the A/C runs off energy from the alternator for the circulating fan, electrical energy for the clutch from the alternator, and energy from the engine crankshaft for the compressor. The Battery does not directly power anything related to Air conditioning when the car is running.
Why does my front AC blow hot air?
Warm in front, cool in back. Please post any answers as I would like to know as well. a/c is working fine. sounds like the diverter door is remaining open allowing the fan to blow air through the heater core. this door is often controlled by engine vac or and electric door motor closing device. A good mech at the dealer should have found this.
Why is the rear AC warmer than the front?
When the rear ac is turned on only, the air isn’t that cold. But when the front ac is turned on, the rear ac is blowing colder air out the vents. That’s because the rear AC by itself can’t turn the compressor on… The front AC has to be on for the compressor to turn on….
Why does my GMC Yukon blow hot and cold air?
A small servo motor that turns hot and cold air valve in the heater box. I pulled the small flat motor off and noticed the shaft was jammed and would not turn when i moved the temperature selector knob from hot to cold. I reached in and turned the air valve with my finger and verified that it was not stuck.
Why is the front vents warm but the rear vents are cold?
The gauge showed that the system was low and I started to fill the system. The compressor clutch did turn on and the system is currently at 45psi (fill zone). Now, the rear vents is blowing cold air but the front vents is still blowing warm air.
