How to turn off slip indicator warning light?
If you don’t have a code scanner I would take the car somewhere and have it scanned for error codes. These codes will point to which system is malfunctioning. ^ thanx for the reply…..am just curious as to how much will it cost to get the codes coz i have scheduled an appointment for tuesday and i want to be prepared for the costs

The C1201 code is the one that tells the vehicle to turn on the check engine light and disable the traction and VSC. Basically, when the other two codes pop up, this one is in charge of letting you know there’s a problem.

After reading blogs on the internet by people having the same problem with their Tacoma, I tried the easiest potential fix first: just tighten the gas cap until it “clicks” and disconnect the positive cable from the battery for about 20 minutes. Bingo, that fixed the problem!
