Why did my roof not go back up?
Two micro switches were faulty, which stopped the computer from knowing the roof was down. £ 200 later all fixed and roof working correctly. According to the dealer there are 12 of these switches. They each have to be triggered in the right order every time or the roof will not be able to go back up. Hope this info helps and good luck.
Why is the roof down on my Mercedes?
Have not had the roof down since around November due to the weather. It will be delivered to the MB Dealership tomorrow for diagnostics and hopefully, worst case they will be able to put the roof up manually so I can use the car. Was wondering before I get there, if anyone could give me any ideas.

Seems a locator switch (microswitch is faulty). Apparently if all microswitches are not triggered int he correct order then the car does not know the roof is fully down. Still not sure how much to rectify but will find out this friday coming. what ever happened to your car? My car did somewhat of the same thing..

MY2003 and earlier cabriolets are W208s, MY2004-MY2009 is a W209. One certain way to determine the problem is to have the diagnostic codes pulled on the soft top control module. How do you close the roof on a Mercedes?
Press and hold the “unlock” button until the roof is stored in the trunk. You can also close the roof this way by pressing and holding the “lock” button on the key.
