Can a Kia Optima be replaced for free?
KIA replaced the engine free of charge and supplied a loaner. We did have to pay for a new radiator that I believe was damaged during the engine swap. I also replaced the high pressure fuel pump that is located on top of the engine. The fuel pump was the original one that dealer swapped over to the new engine.

How long does it take to replace a Kia Optima engine?
If it had “passed” the warranty is extended as there is a high chance you will have future engine failure. As someone posted previously, the backorder time for replacement is long, they are estimating 2-3 months based on previous orders.
