Why is the air bag light on in my Kia Sportage?
My air bag light is on in my 2006 Kia Sportage. The mechanic says the sensor at the driver’s side seat belt is malfunctioning. The belt still clips. Does this render the airbags useless, or will they still deploy? The mechanic said the entire seat buckle must be replaced…this is a $400 part and then $300 labor.
