Found out only because engine light came on and problems accelerated on highway as well as hearing knocking noise. Very long story short and week later without car, found out some parts were sucked into engine. So now dealor calling a Kia rep to find out if they will replace WHOLE motor and if under warranty. Remind you car only 3 yrs old.

Best answer (according to Ciao!) Took it to Kia they replaced the starter inhibitor switch and replaced the recall items of the Kia Sorento, since then no problems so far. 2016 sorento wont crank, no click or any sound when key is turned. All electrical components work inside the cabin and had the battery tested it is good.

Kia agreed to put in new long block at kia s expense. Dealer said where some of engines were made there was metal shaving that got into engines.
