Why are the lights on my cluster cluster flickering?
The way it was fixed after replacing the harnesses to the gauges twice and the gauge cluster once was the service manager says it was a grounding issue and they added a ground wire. Whatever they did fixed the flickering gauge issue, but the dealer was never able to fix the intermittent airbag warning light and constant radio issues.

Keep in mind that some minor flickering is normal and is due to the changes in output voltage of the alternator as controlled by the PCM. This vehicle had a swing in voltage of up to .8 (eight tenths) of a volt. That is not normal.

Click to expand… did you happen to pull you cluster out? what year is it? mine lights up but no guages work except for Voltage and oil pressure, whenever im driving if i press the trip meter button all guages work, also everytime i put a fuse in spot #11 it blows…mines a 2000 and i replaced my switch and still nothing!!
What to do when your car light flickers?
The other thing you can check is your cluster dimmer switch. I had a similar issue when my cluster would flicker, especially going over rough roads/bumps. Just dim and light up your cluster, while giving the switch a bit of hostility lol. If that’s the problem you will realize pretty quick.

The dealer actually agreed but he said that’s what the engineers said to do… that’s like replacing the entire printer when you’re out of ink. I would bet that this problem is caused by the input voltage to the LED driver fluctuating due to acceleration/deceleration; that is when the problem occurs.
