I bought the Pioneer ND-BC8 camera for my Pioneer AVH-X2500BT, thinking it would be easy to install. The instructions on both the camera and the head unit are really sketchy. Can someone point me to step by step instructions on how to make the electrical connections? I understand where the brown RCA cable goes. I believe the black is a ground.

There are 2 sky blue wires in the compartment and no way to know which one is associated with the reverse lamp (s) other than to test the wire either with a test light or a MM. As others have described in other threads, you’ll need to turn the key past “accessory” and put the car in reverse.

Try one and see if it works. I just did a week ago after putting it off for a few months with my new HU (not pioneer). Go to RadioShack and buy some 18-22AWG wire taps. Try one way and see if you still have power door locking. If not, you tapped the wrong one. No sweat, just reconnect the wire with a connector and tap the other wire.
