Why is the radio not working on my Kia Sportage?

Radio does not turn on after starting. Turns on after shutting off engine and restarting. Works fine then. Has happened several times recently. I hate the radio in my Kia Sportage , love everything else , takes ages to find a station I like but usually give up , have to press about 5 things then doesn’t work.
